Sea Kayaking Chico Bay, Bremerton, WA (Saturday, 10-13-2012) --- 7.9 miles, Class II
Weather tuned south since Fri. A few paddlers canceled the trip due to bad weather. It was drizzling but was nice to paddle in the area. We started from a boat ramp at Chigo way, paddle to the Chico Bay, Ostrich Bay, and Oyster Bay which was about 8 miles in 3 hours. Since the last weekend, I wanted to short paddle every weekend. It was my first padding in the area. The Ostrich Bay area had some nice houses and delight to paddle. Water was little rough due to wind. It was probably class II, so it was not certainly for the beginners. Proper protection is a must such as wearing a wet or dry suite.
