Day
Trip - Tulip Festival at Skagit County 26 April 2009,
It was a day trip to Skagit Vally near Mt Vernom to participate in the Tulip Festival. The festival is an annual event hosted in Skagit Valley, Skagit County. The Skagit County is located below Whatcom (border to Canada) County and above Snohomish (my sibling, David & Christine live in Bothell), King (Seattle), and Pierce (my brother, James lives in Tacoma) Counties in Southern direction order. Our residence, Silverdale near Bremerton, is in Kitsap County across the Puget Sound (body of "Pacific" salt water) from the King County. By the way, Washington State has 39 counties. We took a ferry from Kingston to Edmonds, then drove to the City of La Conner (57 miles) to participate the festival. In each Spring, many acres of Daffodils, tulips, and lilies draw out of town vistors to La Conner and Mt Vernon. The festival during flower blooming season usually last throughout the month of April, or ealier starting in March. It was fun and relaxing to see the blooming flowers.
